Smart Tape

Anterior cruciate ligament tears are a devastating injury, often leading athletes to give up the sports they love, or play at a much lower level than prior to ACL repair surgeries. The most main-stream current treatment for ACL tears is to pursue repair surgeries. After these surgeries, people wear uncomfortable braces to get back into athletics and day to day activities. In addition to this, after repair surgeries patients have to take a variety of pills and medications, which can become a hassle to stay on top of. In order to simplify the process of recovery after an ACL repair surgery, our product, Smart Tape includes all the different medicines needed for recovery. Our tape includes medicines and features like Buprenorphine, a non-addictive pain killer, bone growth protein, and it is made of carbon fiber to help stabilize the ligament. This tape benefits the user in both recovery and performance.

Breathe Easy Bracelet

Asthma. The devil of playing tag on the playground. The deal breaker for your marathon dreams. 1 in 12 people in the US depend on having access to an inhaler at all times. But what if you forget it? We have created an easy and affordable way to carry your inhaler wherever you go. Our bracelet is small and compact, and provides a single dose of Albuterol in case of a surprise asthma attack. The bracelet is designed with a small nebulizing chamber so that the medicine can be transformed into a fine mist. In addition to this, our bracelet is breath-actuated, which means you simply have to breathe to inhale the medicine. This will not only revolutionize the inhaler manufacturing industry, but the lung treatment field as a whole.

NSNP (Nasal Spray Nano Particles)

N.S.N.P is nasal spray with carbon nanotubes. Our future vision will prevent the Naegleria Fowleri from entering the brain. Naegleria Fowleri is an amoeba that can enter through your nasal cavity when swimming in warm bodies of water, it gets into your brain and destroys the brain tissue. This causes serious damage to your health. Our technology is a nasal spray that is mixed with carbon nanotubes which are infused with Amphotericin B. The mixture of carbon nanotubes would trap the amoeba like a spider web to prevent them from going up the olfactory nerves to the brain. Amphotericin B which is an antifungal medicine has been proven to kill the brain eating amoeba. And being infused in the nanotubes will stop the brain eating amoeba from harming the host. This would cause an immune response which would kill the Naegleria Fowleri without it reaching your brain.

DRONE RANGER for Fighting Wildfires

According to the National Interagency Fire Center, there were a total of 70,423 wildfires reported in the United States in 2024. The Drone Ranger (DR) represents a cutting-edge innovation in wildfire mitigation, combining advanced technologies to address the challenges posed by increasingly frequent and destructive wildfires. DR is a thermoelectricity and hydrogen powered drone made of stainless steel with tantalum hafnium carbide coating for unparalleled heat resistance and durability in extreme environments. DR is equipped with infrared cameras to detect heat sources and has a unique AI-trained camera network to monitor forest conditions and fires. DR uses a sophisticated Advanced Pressure Swing Adsorption system to mitigate wildfires filtering out atmospheric nitrogen and recycling wildfire generated carbon dioxide. Despite challenges related to cost and system complexity, the Drone Ranger offers a visionary approach to wildfire management, combining sustainability, technological innovation, and operational effectiveness.

Biomimetic Surfaces

The USDOT lists 1900 deaths and 135,000 injuries yearly due to snowy and icy roads. With over 70 percent of the nation’s roads located in snowy regions, freezing road conditions are a major problem, causing significant damage to life and property. Snow and ice reduce pavement friction and vehicle maneuverability, causing slower speeds, reduced roadway capacity, increased crash risk, and high death rates. Today’s solutions for icy roads, such as salting, sanding, and other anti-icing solutions, are ineffective, expensive and harm the environment, vehicles, and roads. Our goal is to address the problem of icy roads by introducing a novel approach based on the properties perfected by nature over millions of years of evolution. Using biomimicry and hydrophobic properties of flora/fauna, we found unique ways to improve the design of our road surfaces to reduce icy conditions, increase friction, and improve vehicle stability.
