The Coagulation Filtration System is an innovative approach to water filtration aiming to provide safe drinking water to the more than 2 billion people worldwide that currently draw drinking water from contaminated sources. The solar-powered technology is also designed to remove ecosystem-damaging microplastics from water through the employment of plastic-eating microbes Ideonella sakaiensis. Using the processes of coagulation, flocculation, and sedimentation, the CFS can be easily and quickly employed in settings ranging from disaster areas to our own homes, ensuring quick access to safe, efficient, and sustainable drinking water for people everywhere.
